Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The BDM will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base across the automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemicals manufacturing, real estate sectors etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, a deep understanding of ESG principles, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target sectors, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, clients, and government agencies.

Lead Generation and Qualification:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and email marketing agency to generate qualified leads.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential clients and assess their needs and challenges.
  • Qualify leads and ensure a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities.

Sales Execution:

  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing the value of our ESG solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with project managers to transition clients smoothly and ensure long-term engagement.

Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the ESG space.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights.
  • Recommend strategic adjustments based on market feedback and performance analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within the ESG, sustainability, or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and successfully closing complex deals.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, sustainability practices, and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
