ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) data is complex, with 500 to 1000 data points scattered across various departments such as HR, sales, procurement, operations, and finance. Sustainability teams spend months manually gathering and organising this data, which is prone to errors.

Oren’s platform automates the data collection process in real-time, providing companies with an accurate, real-time view of their sustainability goals and eliminating manual errors.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a driven ESG Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced tech startup environment and is eager to grow quickly within the organisation. While 1-2 years of experience in business roles is preferred, it is not strictly required. We are looking for someone who can work from Pune Directly from one of Oren’s Clientele.

The right candidate will have a passion for execution and problem-solving and will report directly to the Founder's office, with a clear pathway to grow into handling multiple projects and become an industry-specific ESG Expert within 1-2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee client carbon accounting and database management to ensure accurate sustainability metrics.
• Manage sustainability reporting projects, including but not limited to DJSI, GRI, BRSR, CDP, and Ecovadis and others.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
• Develop and implement strategies for net-zero transition pathways and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their ESG goals and provide tailored solutions.
• Review and enhance existing ESG policies and procedures to align with industry best practices.
• Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of sustainability projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field from a reputed institution.
• 1-2 years of experience working in ESG teams or related roles within different companies.
• Experience in the Real Estate Industry: Candidates should have a strong background in the real estate sector, demonstrating knowledge of market dynamics, property management, and investment strategies.
• Expertise in EHS or Operations: Preferred candidates will possess experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices or operational management within the real estate industry, ensuring compliance and efficiency in property operations.
• Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate high levels of collaboration across various functions.
• Familiarity with net-zero strategies and transition pathways is preferred.
• A passion for sustainability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation: (~6 LPA, Negotiable)
